What to expect when picking up your English Bulldog puppy

Pickup day is finally here — and we know you've been counting down the days! Before you arrive, here's a quick rundown of what to expect so you can make the transition as smooth as possible for your new bully.

What Your Puppy Will Have When You Arrive
By the time your puppy goes home, they will have had their first round of vaccinations, been dewormed regularly, and received a thorough vet exam. You'll get documentation for all of this, along with your one-year health guarantee. Make sure to keep those papers safe — your vet will want to see them at your first appointment.

What to Bring
- A **secure carrier or crate** for the ride home. Even if you plan to hold your puppy, having a safe place for them in the car is important.
- A **small blanket or towel** — we're happy to rub it on mom and the litter before you leave so your puppy has a familiar scent to comfort them on the way home.
- **Paper towels and a bag**, just in case. Car rides and nervous tummies sometimes go hand in hand!

The First Few Days at Home
Your puppy has spent every moment of their life surrounded by mom, littermates, and the sounds of our home. Going to a new place is a big deal for them — so expect a little whimpering the first night or two. This is completely normal and usually passes quickly once they settle in.

Give them a quiet, cozy space to decompress and resist the urge to overwhelm them with visitors right away. Let them explore at their own pace.

A Note on Food
Our puppies are started on a natural, raw-based diet. We'll walk you through exactly what they've been eating and provide you with a list of the products we have been using, so you can stock up ahead of time. Switching foods abruptly can upset a puppy's stomach, so if you plan to transition to something else, do it gradually over 7–10 days.
